Walking to the Beat of a Different Drummer

This painting of a djembe (pronounced JEM-bay) drum was created by high school students during Surfside Camp in August. More than 100 campers made their way to the front of the room during a worship service and signified their commitment to walk to the drumbeat of Jesus by painting a single brush stroke on the canvas. The 3-foot by 5-foot painting is temporarily housed in my office, and I'm rejoicing in the knowledge that each stroke represents a life committed to Christ.
